Grace Arthur, AMFT
I am an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist working under the supervision of Susan Soderman, LMFT 98962. I have experience working with all age groups from young children to older adults. I have worked in both private practice settings and community based clinics serving clients from a variety of backgrounds. I have had the privilege of working with those experiencing complex PTSD, as well as veterans, victims of crime, and struggling couples, families, and children, to name a few. My personal experiences as well as my clinical training have led me to recognize mental health’s central premise to overall well being.
I practice from a trauma-focused lens and meet my clients where they are at. The therapeutic relationship is of utmost importance to me and I believe it is the basis to which healing can begin. I love to use metaphors to explain difficult concepts and make them more relatable to each client’s life. I believe that no one client is the same and therefore I utilize a wide range of interventions based on what each client needs.
In my free time you will find me outside whether it be hiking, running, or camping with my family. I am a sucker for a good deal so I also love thrift shopping with my sisters. I am a dog lover and a huge advocate for the benefits animals and pets can have on our mental health.
